Shanthala Chits was born out of an earnest endeavor to build a strong financial institution upon the dual traits of Trust and Sincerity. Founded in 1996 by Mr.Sridhar Alampalli, the company is registered under the Chit Fund Act, 1982 and offers a chit-fund based savings plan with flexible short-term benefits and fixed long-term returns.

Founder and Chairman, Mr.Alampalli says that he was inspired to create the company after reading a book ‘Strength Finder’ which spoke about leveraging his networking strengths which were his biggest strength and thus started Shanthala Chits Pvt Ltd which adds value to the financial ecosystem. A personality test further reinforced his belief that he could use his networking skills and experience as an investment counselor, to excel in his professional pursuits. Shanthala Chits was conceptualized on the business model of optimizing the strength of its members out of potential weaknesses and is a member-driven initiative that has weathered the test of time for the last 20 years. Having begun by Mr.Alampalli, with unconditional support from Mr.Venkatesh Kumar and Jayashree who have been a part of the organization since inception. Now, steered by his son, Mr.Swarup Sridhar who has brought in his own innovative and enterprising solutions added a fresher perspective and is taking the company into newer directions of growth.

Having begun operations out of rented premises in the year 1996, the company today operates out of its own Head Office at Halasuru and is supported by a strong team of trusted and loyal customers. Begun with just 50 members, more than half of them continue to be active members investing their money regularly into the company’s chit fund schemes.

Shanthala Chits is a 1400+ strong community, that continuously strives to inculcate in its members a strong habit of saving consistently, providing them assured returns on their savings and acting as a dependable partner in case of financial emergencies. Shanthala Chits provides Investment and Credit Counselling, and other financial management services and advice. With them, members can be assured of a trustworthy financial partner that can always be reached for any kind of financial assistance.

In 2013, to give better service and accessibility, Shanthala Chits started their first branch in Banaswadi. In the next 2 years, Shanthala Chits projects to grow to 2000 strong members with another branch.
